You've decided this is the year the holiday actually works. No more "flop and drop" that half the family resents by day two. No more nobody-can-agree-on-anything meltdowns before you've even booked the flights.
So, what happens now?
Here's exactly what working with me looks like, from your very first message to the moment you're home, unpacking bags full of memories instead of just laundry.
It starts with a form. But don't overthink it. The more detail you give me, the better I can get to know your family. But if you're not 100% sure what you want yet, that’s okay. That's completely normal, and honestly, that's often exactly why families come to me. Fill in what you can. We'll dig into the rest together.
Once your form is in, you'll get a link to book a free consultation — Google Meet or a phone call, whichever feels more comfortable for you.
This call is where we go over your form, fill in any gaps, and I ask the questions that get to the heart of what your family actually needs. It's also your chance to ask me anything and get a feel for whether we're the right fit — because this only works if it's a genuine partnership.
We'll also talk through my role as your advisor, my planning fee, and exactly what's included so there are no surprises.
This fee isn't a gatekeeping cost — it's what buys back your time, your sanity, and weeks of research you'd otherwise be doing at 11pm after the kids are finally asleep. It covers my time, my destination and supplier research, and the ongoing support that follows every step from here.
After our call, I'll send through the payment details so you can move forward whenever you're ready. This part is non-refundable, because from the moment it's paid, I'm already working on your behalf.
Once your planning fee is in, the real work begins. You'll receive a detailed proposal along with a video walkthrough where I explain exactly what I've chosen and why — not just a list of hotels and flights, but the thinking behind every recommendation.
Timeline: You can expect your proposal within [3-10 business days] of your planning fee being paid. The date range depends on the complexity of your trip.
I aim to get it right the first time, but travel planning is personal, so if the first proposal isn't quite it, that's simply part of the process, not a setback. Your feedback helps me fine-tune every detail until it feels exactly right. This is a collaboration, and I won't stop until your holiday feels like yours.
Once you've approved your proposal, there's usually a 3–5 day window to secure it with a deposit. I'll guide you through exactly what's needed and when.
In the lead-up to departure, I'll flag anything you need to sort — passports, visas, travel insurance — so nothing sneaks up on you in the final weeks. You'll also receive your full travel documents and itinerary by email and via a smartphone app, plus a "What to Do When" guide for any general travel hiccups along the way.
Booking a holiday with me doesn't mean I disappear the moment you board the plane. You will get a text or email from me checking in on your arrival, just to make sure everything is meeting your expectations. And, if something shifts, goes sideways, or you just need a hand while you're away, I'm still here - or one of my trusted partners on the ground are. You booked a partner, not just a proposal, and that doesn't stop at departure.
Once you're back, I'll check in — not just to tick a box, but because I genuinely want to hear how it went. The inside jokes, the moments that surprised you, the bits that mattered. Because at the end of the day, this was never really about the itinerary. It was about your family finding each other again.
Through every one of these steps, my aim is simple: you should feel informed, looked after, and never left wondering what happens next. Timely responses, honest guidance, and a plan that actually works for every person in your family — teenagers included.
